Hollywood Baptist Church exists to
love God, reach people and make disciples.

OUR VISION
We desire to reach out to all people who are unbelievers and are
un-churched and lead them to be fully committed followers of Christ.

OUR TARGET
Families Reaching Families

Those are not just words, you know. The members of Hollywood Baptist Church have adopted, ratified and strategized repeatedly this mission. Simply understood, it is a clarification of The Great Commandment and The Great Commission.

Asked which of God’s commandments is the greatest, Jesus replied:

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." Matthew 22:39 As Jesus prepared to ascend to glory, he left the disciples with a simple charge:

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." Matthew 28:19-20

We believe that the people God has called to be the focus and target of Hollywood Baptist Church are families. Families are the core of our society. As the family goes, so goes the church.

It is our passion to see people’s lives continually changed by the power of God, moving them along a true spiritual progression, from what they used be to what they can be in Jesus Christ.

We believe that it is imperative that new Christians become an active part of the New Testament Church. We need each other. We are a spiritual family in Jesus Christ and we need the fellowship that membership brings in the local church.

We believe that it is important to develop Christ-like maturity in new believers in order for them to grow spiritually and become disciples of Jesus as He commanded the church.

We believe that each one of us at salvation is gifted by the Holy Spirit and called to be a part of the ministry of God on this earth. God has chosen His believers to carry out His plans to reach the world.

It is our passion to send believers back into the world to bring others to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to support the institution of the family locally and globally.

We believe we are to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ in all that we do. We believe God has called us to a God-sized task for which He gets the glory.
